Hello my dear friend,just want to share with you a beautiful e.mail that i got from my friend ,Deb. "All animals are habitual. Our diet, our walk, our daily routine are all for the most part the same every day. As a daily runner, my routes are pretty habitual as well. I run so many different trails throughout the week, and as I have written before, I strive to run new paths and trails frequently. This past weekend I ran 4 different places and trails and felt blessed every step by new scenery and eye opening vistas. However, this morning as I set off for my dawn run in the neighborhood, I realized for the umpteenth time what a creature of habit I am. I always turn and do loops in the same direction. I always turn right first on a loop. So this morning I decided to change directions. I went left first. How was my day? Fine. More expansive? Not necessarily. Did going left rather than right do something for me? Perhaps. But is it a metaphor for my life? Can I in the moment decide to turn left rather than right just because I realize I always turn right? Can someone have their morning coffee without reading the newspaper? Can you drive to work a different way- different streets, neighborhoods, traffic lights. Anything we can do to move out of our box, stretch ourselves out of our daily routine of coffee, brushing teeth, driving, helps us grow. When we allow all aspects of our life and day to become routine and rote, we close ourselves off on some level to others and the world around us. Dr. John Gotmann writes about aspects of healthy relationships. One key trait is the ability to be influenced by others. I would like to expand that to the ability to be influenced by the world around us. When we can let ourselves let go of our routine, ego, structure and be influenced by what’s around us by changing direction or changing opinions than we can show up more deeply and more open hearted in the world. We should all be blessed this month to change a little something every day in our routine from what you eat and how to where you walk and when. Open your heart and mind a little beyond the comforts of your routine and self in order to let those around you in a little deeper and thus be influenced and more intimate with them, yourself and the world around you. I am so happy to share with you our family very yummy : BANANA AND CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE First: 1 cup of milk + 2 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon = set aside for an hour 1 teasppon vanilla 2 eggs 1/2 cup of oil The mix of milk and lemon 3 mashed banana (about 1 cup) 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt *add chocolate chips mix all for about 3 min and bake in a 350* oven for about 30-35 min. I hope you are all enjoying the day! A dear friend(Susan from moxie-mom) sent me this poem and I hope you will take a moment to enjoy. It brings tears to my eyes and it fills me up knowing the intense love I have for my children and also the incredible effort it takes to raise these little people. Hats off to you, Mom!! I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy. Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom. May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace rather than by the cares of life.

Life Lessons

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I've learned that no matter how much I care some people just don't care back. I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but whom you have in your life that counts. I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you. I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel. I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated. I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different. I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself. I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And, just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do. I’ve learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief. I’ve learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt, and you will hurt in the process. I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it. "Deciding to be an artist in the days of kindergarten was the best goal I ever followed through on. Photography, sculpture, design and everything in between are apart of my every day. Last summer I came up with the idea to put my photographs to use. I have accumulated so many through out the years and needed an outlet other than framed pictures. The wallets I sell now (checkbooks, card holders and more to come), utilize photographs I have taken in my travels. I am a mommy to two impossibly cute little boys (aren’t they all?), and I can’t think of a better way to keep them close to my heart when I am in meetings or behind my computer trying to beat the latest deadline. Designer and owner Sima Gilady must feel the same way, because her jewelry is nothing short of a declaration of love stamped on precious metal. And even if you don’t have kids, there must be someone or some thing that makes your heart pitter-patter. Children, beaus, fuzzy-wuzzy fur babies, yourself (right on!), or the perfect mascara—if you love it, declare it. Gilady is letting one lucky reader choose between two of her most popular designs: the De Colores or Gold Disc. The De Colores has three beautiful discs of copper, silver, and gold on an 18” gold filled chain. Upon each 1/2” disc, you can have stamped the letter of your choice. The Gold Disc is larger at 3/4” and comes on an 18”- 20” chain. Since it is larger, Sima will stamp up to three letters of your choice. Of course, if you are one of those coy girls who like to keep people guessing, you can elect to wear the discs plain. SimaG Jewelry has something for everyone. What isn’t there to love about that?
