Some people wear their hearts on their sleeves. I prefer to wear mine around my neck, so I was thrilled when Miss B said SimaG Jewelry wanted to participate in The Bright Side Project. I am a mommy to two impossibly cute little boys (aren’t they all?), and I can’t think of a better way to keep them close to my heart when I am in meetings or behind my computer trying to beat the latest deadline. Designer and owner Sima Gilady must feel the same way, because her jewelry is nothing short of a declaration of love stamped on precious metal. And even if you don’t have kids, there must be someone or some thing that makes your heart pitter-patter. Children, beaus, fuzzy-wuzzy fur babies, yourself (right on!), or the perfect mascara—if you love it, declare it. Gilady is letting one lucky reader choose between two of her most popular designs: the De Colores or Gold Disc. The De Colores has three beautiful discs of copper, silver, and gold on an 18” gold filled chain. Upon each 1/2” disc, you can have stamped the letter of your choice. The Gold Disc is larger at 3/4” and comes on an 18”- 20” chain. Since it is larger, Sima will stamp up to three letters of your choice. Of course, if you are one of those coy girls who like to keep people guessing, you can elect to wear the discs plain. SimaG Jewelry has something for everyone. What isn’t there to love about that? In her own words: My name is Sima Gilady, and I am a mother of 4 beautiful kids: 2 big girls and 2 little boys. I love my life, my kids and my husband who always supports my work and crazy ideas. I LOVE my job, and I believe it shows. All my jewelry is made with LOVE. In my former life, I was an esthetician. I had to close my store after I had a hard time with my third pregnancy. I wanted to be home with my kids and be there when they come home from school. Art & Jewelry has been my passion in my life, so staying home has been a blessing in many ways. Favorite Place: My favorite place is the Bahamas. We were there last June, and I would give anything to go back to that most beautiful place. Favorite CD: I am from Israel, and moved to Boulder Colorado 18 years ago. Simag makes really great jewelry, and I especially love her hammered items. Her prices are amazing as well. I bought a hammered coin earring set from a local shop (a very well known, high price jewelry shop here in the Springs) and it was well over $100 (although I payed the reasonable sale price, not the $100).

Klosterhoff. Our contribution to M.A.D.D. helps support families and victims of drunk driving, increases awareness of designated drivers, funds school programs to teach children the effects of abusing alcohol and drugs and to prevent underage drinking. There is a moment in everyone's life where the reality sets in that every sunrise and set is magical, every moment is precious, and every friendship is a true token of God's love. That moment came to me on the morning of July 25th, 2008 with the call that my friend Tom had been killed on his motorcycle by a drunk driver on his way home from work. He was 26 years old and had eight brothers and sisters. His warm heart and handsome smile lit up every room he ever walked into. His caring and passion for helping others exuded in his presence and I will forever miss him."
