If you’re still looking for a Chanukkah gift, don’t worry, I got your back. Cute, delicate necklaces are all the rage for winter and spring 2010, which means all you have to do is find one that you can personalize.
I’ve been wearing my Sima Gilady sterling silver necklaces (I have 2) literally every day. I have one on an elegant and simple silver chain with a thin hammered silver disc pendant that says my son’s name, Benjamin, in Hebrew on one side and English on the other. But, if you don’t care for any Hebrew text, you can choose whatever text you want. Write your anniversary date, “Shmookie” for your dog, or some inside joke between you and your best friend. For $28, I seriously can’t think of a better gift.
This is one of my Sima Gilady necklaces, and translates to “Binyamin” the Hebrew version of Benjamin, which means “son of my strengths.”
T H A N K YOU my dear . Bryce is a Manhattanite mom that can be found jet-setting off to every corner of the globe. She loves exotic places, trying adventurous cuisines, artisan fashions, and apothecary-type beauty products.
