It's not just the tearing open of the holiday wrapping paper. Searching for the perfect Christmas or Hanukkah holiday gift can also be a wonderful experience itself. The delicately decorated trees, the Christmas lights, the festive store displays, the hot cider (or in Boulder - hot chai!), as well as the buzz one feels from being in the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping - these are the things that help create that beautiful holiday season. For me, this is why I love living in Boulder - a quaint city that offers practically everything that I need within a short distance. Personally, I'm not a fan of big malls. Black Friday came and went while I stayed home playing with the kids. Cyber Monday too is in the past, but it had no appeal to me anyway. Instead, I plan to visit the many local shops in Boulder, to explore the individual characters of these places, and to unwrap the gift of living in a city that truly prides itself on being unique.
Once again, we've put together a list of suggested gift ideas for you. It's our way of celebrating our love for Boulder. While our list isn't as long as Santa's, we still hope that our offering of these suggestions might inspire you too to shop locally.
